Nike Air Max 1 Sketch To Shelf

1987 was a very special year in the Swoosh brand’s history with the creation of the very first shoe with a visible air bubble, the Air Max 1, designed by the now-famous Tinker Hatfield. The shoe quickly became a reference of style, both on athletic tracks and in the street.

Nike pays tribute to the designer’s first research sketches with this Air Max 1 “Sketch To Shelf”. There are pencil effect on mudguards and swoosh that are not completely filled, annotations are scattered throughout the shoe, illustrating the vision of the designer. Finally, we find the first AIR MAX logo on the tongue and the insole.
