Nike Air Max 1 86 OG Big Bubble

This year, the Air Max Day tells us a forgotten story, the “Big Bubble”. In 1986, Nike unveiled a first version of the Air Max 1 with a much larger air unit. However, the latter had a tendency to crack and the model did not remain long on the market. A few months after its release, the “Big Bubble” was replaced by the silhouette we know today, but it marked the beginning of an iconic story in sneaker culture.

The Nike Air Max 1 ’86 OG “Big Bubble” makes the link to the past. We find the colorblocking of the Air Max 1 OG Red, with a white mesh base and grey and red suede inserts. The branding and eyelets also display red. The white midsole, meanwhile, reveals a more imposing air unit. Finally, a tricolor outsole closes the whole.
