Nike x sacai LDWaffle Varsity Blue

Nike and the japanese label sacai team up for the first time and are releasing a new silhouette: the Nike x sacai LDWaffle, soon accompanied by the Nike x sacai Blazer Mid. Previewed during the Paris Fashion Week Spring / Summer 2019, the hybrid pair imagined by the Swoosh brand and sacai designer Chitose Abe takes elements of two vintage models: the Nike LDV and the Nike Waffle Daybreak.

In terms of materials and colors, there is a blue mesh upper, red suede at the front and back of the shoe and an yellow Swoosh. But the originality of the sneaker lies in the concept of having elements from two pairs with different colorways merged into a unique model: the elements such as the Swoosh, the tongue, the laces or the midsole are doubled and make the whole thing unique.
